OUR WAGYU GENETICS

Bryant Wagyu is being built around a carefully selected base of registered Japanese Black Wagyu genetics with an emphasis on carcass quality, maternal strength, growth, and long-term breeding value.

At the center of our program is M6 Universe 317L ET, a large-framed Fullblood Wagyu herd sire carrying a heavy concentration of Mayura Itoshigenami JNR influence through Mayura L0010 on both sides of his pedigree.

Mayura Itoshigenami JNR is widely regarded as arguably the best offspring produced by the great Itoshigenami sire. That makes the concentration of those genetics in 317L especially exciting to us and gives us a foundation we believe has tremendous long-term potential.

317L is only one piece of the program. Our registered herd also carries genetics from Kimitofuku, Terutani, Itomichi, Sanjiro, World K’s lines, and other established Japanese Black Wagyu bloodlines, giving us a deep and diverse genetic base to build around.

What makes 317L especially impressive to us is that he is more than a pedigree on paper. He is a powerful, athletic, large-framed herd sire with exceptional presence and natural herding instinct. He actively manages his cows in the pasture almost like a cutting horse, and his combination of size, structure, pedigree, and behavior is exactly what we want in a foundation sire.

Our goal is not simply to collect pedigrees. We are building a program around cattle that can perform in the pasture, reproduce consistently, contribute to the next generation of the herd, and ultimately produce the carcass quality Wagyu is known for.

Bryant Wagyu is still developing, but the genetic foundation is already in place, and we are excited about where this program is headed.
